Stöld på RM Sotheby's auktion i Milano

The RM Sotheby’s Milan auction, held in the heart of Italy’s automotive heritage, brought together an exceptional selection of collector cars, enthousiasts & bidders. The results are in, with some great sales, some steals and a few gems that are still available

Auction Highlights

The top overview shows the top 10 sales. We think the sale of the 1989 Lamborghini Countach 25th Anniversary Edition by Bertone was exceptional at
€1.130.000! This is a new record price for a non-VIP vehicle. Back in 2023, the Wolf of Wall street Countach sold for €1.540.000. Great to see this model appreciate in value.

The Porsche 993 GT2R presented below was an absolute steal! It sold far under it’s estimate (Which is possible in a no reserve sale) & far under our platform Median. Our team thinks the lower price can be explained by uncertain originality & the unfinished build.

While many top-tier automobiles found new homes, several show-stoppers surprisingly remained unsold—presenting a rare second chance for discerning collectors.

Still Available – Icons Waiting for the Right Owner:

  • 1933 Alfa Romeo 8C 2300 Lungo Cabriolet: A masterwork of pre-war Italian design and engineering, the 8C 2300 is one of the most revered models in Alfa Romeo’s history. With coachwork by Figoni and powered by the legendary supercharged straight-eight, this car offers not just provenance, but pure mechanical art.
  • 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Gullwing: Perhaps the most iconic post-war Mercedes, the Gullwing’s signature doors and race-bred engineering continue to captivate collectors. This particular example boasts exceptional condition and provenance.
  • McLaren MP4/21 Formula 1 Car: Rarely does a modern F1 car from the V8 era become available outside of private collections. Campaigned by Kimi Räikkönen during the 2006 season, this McLaren is a true piece of motorsport history—ideal for any serious motorsports enthusiast or museum.
  • 1974 Porsche 911 Carrera RS 3.0: A homologation special and pinnacle of the air-cooled 911 lineup, the Carrera RS 3.0 is among the most collectible Porsches ever built. Lightweight, powerful, and rare, it embodies the spirit of the 1970s racing scene.
  • 2005 Mercedes-Benz CLK DTM AMG Coupe: Built to celebrate the brand’s success in the German DTM series, this coupe combines brutal performance with limited production exclusivity. One of only 100 road-going examples produced, it’s a modern collectible with future upside.
